Former Attorney For Jeffrey Epstein Says Trump Is Not On ‘The List’

Former Epstein Attorney Insists Trump Was Never Among Epstein’s Clients
David Schoen Says Epstein Had “No Information” That Could Harm the Former President Amid Renewed Scrutiny of DOJ Files

David Schoen, the attorney who briefly represented Jeffrey Epstein prior to the disgraced financier’s death in 2019, has publicly reaffirmed that former President Donald Trump was not among Epstein’s clients. Schoen said he personally questioned Epstein about whether he possessed any compromising information about Trump and was told unequivocally that he did not.

“I can say authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively that he had no information to hurt President Trump,” Schoen wrote on X. “I specifically asked him!”

Schoen’s statement resurfaced Monday amid renewed controversy surrounding the Department of Justice’s handling of Epstein’s case files. The discussion reignited after Axios reported on a leaked DOJ memo asserting that no so-called “client list” ever existed and reaffirming that Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody was ruled a suicide.

The leak has fueled outrage among Trump supporters and critics of the Biden administration who suspect a cover-up. The backlash intensified after Trump came to the defense of Attorney General Pam Bondi, whose office has maintained that no such list exists.

Retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, a prominent Trump ally, responded on X, warning that “the Epstein affair is not going away,” and calling for greater accountability over the alleged exploitation of minors by politically and socially powerful individuals. His remarks echoed the sentiments of attendees at a recent conservative convention in Florida, where many voiced frustration over what they view as systemic obstruction of the truth.

Meanwhile, Fox News reported that internal tensions have escalated within the Justice Department. According to the outlet, Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino has reportedly clashed with Bondi over what he considers a lack of transparency surrounding the investigation and withheld records.

Even with Trump’s public show of support for Bondi on Truth Social, skepticism remains widespread within the former president’s base. Many MAGA-aligned commentators have questioned why Epstein-related files have not been released—particularly if, as Schoen insists, they contain nothing damaging to Trump.

Trump himself has suggested that the refusal to disclose remaining Epstein materials bolsters claims of a larger effort to shield powerful elites from scrutiny. For many in his orbit, the controversy underscores what they see as an entrenched double standard in federal investigations—and a lingering mystery that refuses to fade from public attention.
