Rock musician Kenny Loggins has demanded that his iconic song “Danger Zone” be removed from a video President Donald Trump posted on Saturday.
The AI-generated clip, released over the weekend in response to nationwide “No Kings” protests, depicted a crown-wearing Trump piloting a fighter jet with the call sign “King Trump.” Accompanied by Loggins’ 1986 hit from Top Gun, the animated president appeared to bomb protesters with fecal matter.
Speaking to Variety on Monday, Loggins said he did not authorize the use of his song.
“This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone,’” he said. “Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.”

Loggins also criticized the divisive nature of the clip.
“I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us,” he said. “Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together.
“We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’ — that’s not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It’s all of us. We’re in this together, and it is my hope that we can embrace music as a way of celebrating and uniting each and every one of us,” Loggins added.
Nearly 3,000 “No Kings” protests, described as “mostly peaceful,” took place across the United States on Saturday, CNN reported.
The demonstrations focused primarily on opposition to President Trump’s policies on illegal immigration and crime enforcement.
