Bill Barr Teamed With DA Fani Willis On Trump-RICO Case: Report

Bill Barr Allegedly Teamed Up With DA Fani Willis on Trump RICO Case, Whistleblower Claims

Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, who served under President Donald Trump, allegedly collaborated with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis — the Georgia prosecutor behind the 2020 election-related RICO case against Trump — in an effort to prevent the former president from returning to the White House, according to new whistleblower claims.

Patrícia Lélis, a former employee at a public relations firm owned by media personality Armstrong Williams, told Project Veritas that Barr worked alongside Willis and others to coordinate the prosecution that ultimately led to charges against Trump and 18 co-defendants accused of attempting to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results.

Lélis claims that Barr attended multiple secret meetings in Washington, D.C., between 2021 and 2023, where legal strategies and media narratives were allegedly crafted to damage Trump’s political prospects ahead of the 2024 election. She said she took “dozens” of pages of handwritten notes during these gatherings, which she has since turned over to Project Veritas.

According to Lélis, one such meeting took place on September 6, 2021, and included Barr, Willis, and CNN commentator Shermichael Singleton. During the session, the group reportedly developed a media strategy to complement Congress’s January 6 investigation.

“The investigation will be focused on people close to Trump and make efforts to formally prosecute these people,” Lélis wrote in her notes, excerpts of which were published by Project Veritas.

Lélis’s documents also suggest that Barr identified several potential targets for investigation, including Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Stewart Rhodes, Enrique Tarrio, Jeffrey Clark, the Oath Keepers, and the Proud Boys. In the following months, many of these figures were subpoenaed to testify before the January 6 committee — a sequence of events that, according to Lélis, underscores Barr’s continuing influence even after his public split from Trump.

Photographs from March 15, 2022, reportedly show Barr entering the offices of Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he allegedly met with Willis and federal prosecutor Jack Smith to discuss pending charges Smith was preparing to file against Trump in Florida. Smith’s case centered on Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents and his refusal to return them to the National Archives.

Lélis claims Barr predicted during that meeting that an FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago would happen “soon.” Five months later, federal agents executed a search warrant at Trump’s Florida residence, seizing documents and surveillance footage.

Notes from January 19, 2023, indicate another planned meeting between Barr and Willis, with follow-up notes from February 27 confirming that it took place. According to Lélis, Barr used that meeting to urge Willis to pursue racketeering charges against Trump.

“Bill Barr was like, we should bring RICO because it’s a very difficult type of charge to defend,” Lélis told Project Veritas, explaining that Barr described racketeering cases as complex and challenging to fight in U.S. courts.

Several of Trump’s co-defendants have since pleaded guilty, agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors in exchange for reduced charges — a development that, according to the whistleblower, reflects the mounting pressure within the defense camp as Willis’s case advanced.

Lélis maintains that the driving motivation behind the alleged coordination was to block Trump’s political comeback. “One thing that I understood very well is like Bill Barr and Armstrong and all the politicians too, they’re very focused like in how they go to stop Trump,” she said.

She also alleges that Willis’s team went beyond the legal sphere, reportedly working with a social media operation that created “anti-Trump” posts and digital content aimed at shaping public opinion in favor of the prosecution.

While none of these claims have been independently verified, Lélis’s account paints a picture of covert coordination among prominent political and legal figures determined to derail Trump’s return to power.
