Britney Spears Allegedly Stood Silently in Sons’ Room at Night Holding a Knife, Kevin Federline Claims in New Memoir

Kevin Federline has made explosive new claims about his ex-wife Britney Spears in his forthcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, alleging that the pop icon would sometimes stand silently in their sons’ bedroom at night holding a knife.

According to excerpts published by The New York Times, Federline, 47, recounts multiple incidents in which Spears’ behavior allegedly frightened their sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.

“They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” Federline reportedly writes. “Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”

Federline and Spears, 43, were married from 2004 to 2007 and engaged in a turbulent custody battle following their split. The memoir delves into that period of their lives, shedding new light on the difficulties surrounding their family’s highly publicized struggles.

A representative for Spears did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jayden revealed that his brother had asked Spears not to post their photos on social media, but she reportedly ignored the request, saying, “So it didn’t go well.”

Federline also noted that Sean Preston and Jayden had “made the decision” not to attend Spears’ June 2022 wedding to Sam Asghari, whom she divorced last year.

In response, Spears took to Instagram, writing, “It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children… As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. It concerns me the reason is based on my Instagram. It was LONG before Instagram… I gave them everything… Only one word: HURTFUL.”

Meanwhile, elsewhere in his memoir, Federline voiced deep concern over Spears’ current “situation,” warning that he believes she is “racing toward something irreversible.”

“It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour,” he reportedly writes in You Thought You Knew, according to The New York Times. “Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”

Federline also criticized the “Free Britney” movement, which helped end Spears’ 13-year conservatorship, claiming it may have caused more harm than fans realize. He urged the pop star’s supporters to shift their focus to her current well-being.

“Now, more than ever, [our children] need your support. I’ve been their buffer for years, but now it’s bigger than me,” he wrote. “It’s time to sound the alarm.”

He did not provide specific details about the nature of his concerns, though fans have expressed worry in recent months after Spears posted a series of erratic social media videos, many featuring her nude and dancing.

Federline’s memoir is scheduled for release on Oct. 21.
